Garrett M. Berna

Preamble

Garrett Michael Berna (born June 20th, 1986) is a mental health counselor and American member of both Patriot Front Network 7 and the New England Active Club (previously the Bay State Active Club).

Berna appears to have become a member of Patriot Front during a lapse of NW7’s online presence, a lapse which occurred after the assault of Charles Murrell III by Patriot Front members in Boston MA during June 2022. However, his earliest known appearances include him traveling to other regions where Patriot Front has active chapters, as well as interacting with Active Clubs that either reside in those regions or have travelled to New England.

Berna is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor under the Massachusetts Office of Health and Human Services (license #LMHC10304). To date, he has no compliance actions against his record. [1] Berna claims he specializes in working with athletes, children, and adolescents. Berna offers telehealth sessions Monday through Friday, but also works out of an office in Newton MA during Thursdays. Newton MA is a city known to have the largest Jewish community in the state. Berna currently resides in West Brookfield MA with his wife and child, in a home he owns.

His unofficial designation as a member of Patriot Front is “WatchChump”.

New England Youth Club member “Nicholas MA”

Preamble

“Nicholas MA” is the self-admitted moniker of an unidentified neo-Nazi and Patriot Front member who is likely attending college in or around Essex County MA. In other spaces, he is alleged to be the “co-founder” of Patriot Front’s Youth Club project, answering directly to Patriot Front founder Thomas Rousseau. In this capacity, “Nick” may play an outsized role in Patriot Front’s efforts to recruit and indoctrinate teenagers.

As a member of NEYC, he maintains a level of orbit around the local Patriot Front chapter as well as the New England Active Club. Previous to his membership in NEYC, “Nick” appears to have put some effort into attempting to revive Patriot Front’s precursor, the neo-Nazi Vanguard America, in Massachusetts. He is also alleged to have been in the orbit of some incarnation of Atomwaffen Division.

“Nick” has also gone by “Bandit Legionnaire”, “MMA_Fan49”, “Pine Tree Nat XVII”, “Continental”, “Nordlicher Sieg”, “Adam Rutledge”, “Novanglus”, and “Northern Guy 131” on Telegram, where he controlled a “New England Aesthetics” channel. He also operated accounts on Twitter: @HColumbia76 as “New England Nationalist”, and @nenatxvii. He is suspected to control the @NorthEast131 Twitter account as “Northeast Antifa Watch”, and thus may also control the North East Antifa Watch Mataroa blog (itself briefly called “Northeast 131”) as part of a broader revival of the AntifaWatch project. Nick also controls the “New England Aesthetics” Telegram channel, which occasionally recirculates posts from the New England Active Club and other channels controlled by Patriot Front members.

Joseph Behling

Preamble

Joseph William Behling (born December 4th, 2002) is an American Christian nationalist, possible serviceman in the United States Navy, and neo-fascist. He is also a member of Patriot Front Network 7 and the New England Active Club, previously known as the Bay State Active Club.

Behling’s current legal address is in Manchester NH; his account on Telegram has been linked to this address via a cat video he posted on a neo-Nazi silver-collection channel. He has previously lived in Hooksett NH as well as elsewhere in Manchester.

His Patriot Front moniker is alleged to be “Marcus NH.” He has also gone by the handles “NH Nationalist,” “Agrippa,” and “turk.bob” in online spaces, and may have gone by “603 Nationalist” on Twitter.

[Speculative: Apparently it’s pronounced the same as the word “bailing”.]

Brandon Brooks

Brooks wears an F.I.E.C.-branded hoodie and a white hardhat, and has tucked his hands into his jeans' pockets. He smiles blankly. The third is a photo of Brooks taken by an antifascist activist in Bangor ME. Brooks, wearing khakis, a gray t-shit, and sunglasses, is walking away while turned slightly toward the cameraperson. He is grinning, holding his phone with his right hand, and flexing his left bicep.

Preamble

Brandon Brooks is an American racist, homophobe, and apparent neo-fascist. Brooks is allegedly a member of Patriot Front, and was identified by Reddit users after he was encountered by an antifascist activist on the ground in Bangor ME, while in the midst of putting up Patriot Front stickers with another possible member. [♥]

Brooks last-known residence is in Vinalhaven ME, a small island community off the coast of Rockland ME. He is previously of West Deptford NJ. [∗]

Brooks’s Patriot Front moniker is currently unknown. In various American nationalist, neo-fascist, and neo-Nazi chats on Telegram, he posts as “Risky Brisky,” a name which is an overt reference to the Jewish circumcision ritual.

ID Bulletin: Jacob Patry-Sempf, of Tellico Plains TN

Patry’s LinkedIn lists him as out of Tellico Plains TN. It also indicates he transitioned from his home state of Vermont to Tennessee, where he started working in 2020. This is consistent with Patry’s presence in leaks of Patriot Front’s Rocketchat server, specifically as “Logan VT” circa 2019 in @torchantifa.bsky.social’s leaks, and as “Logan TN” circa 2021 in @unicornriot.bsky.social’s leaks.

ID Bulletin: Ian H. Langille, of Chapman ME

[This is my contribution to the ID of Ian Henry Langille, a/k/a “Nordic Maine,” a collaboration with the Stumptown Research Collective. This version of what Stumptown eventually titled “Sam Winslow & the Vexing Vexillologist” has a little more in the way of Langille’s buffoonery and local fash history, cut from the fuller version for length. It’s April 2023, and I’m having a hard time giving a damn about the incessant poster of a manchild I would later learn was born Ian Langille of Chapman ME.

At this early point the guy has two Telegram channels, one standard Nordic-Maine-Groyper channel (since deactivated but replaced) and one “uncensored” in flavor, both registered circa mid-January 2023. I can’t tell the difference. Both of them are largely white supremacist propaganda regurgitation channels. Buried in the cross-posts are his own occasional additions, largely involving Langille’s collection of gross white nationalist and neo-Nazi org merchandise, his (lack of) graphic design prowess, and his stickering efforts in Aroostook County.

His personal stickers are the New England Independence pine tree symbol inside the Waffen-SS shield. They also contain the URL to his personal Telegram channel. The URL is, if I recall, occasionally misspelled somehow. There’s also this image, which I originally thought was an admission that he doesn’t know how a hat is supposed to sit on a head. Jarek L. Reihner

Preamble

Jarek L. Reihner (born July 19th, 1989) is an American white supremacist, antisemitic conspiracy theorist, U.S. Air Force veteran, and self-declared neo-Nazi. Reihner was most recently a member of Patriot Front, having likely been recruited from multi-tendency neo-fascist coalition Resist Marxism by Chris Hood. Reihner’s status as a member of other neo-Nazi groups in proximity to Hood, such as NSC-131, is currently unknown.

Reihner hails from a Polish family, and previously lived in Washington PA. He has previously lived in Waltham MA, and his last known locale of residence is Somerville MA.

Reihner posts to Instagram and a personal WordPress site under his own name, and to Tiktok as “NE Naturalist” and “New England Nat.” [Speculative: This seems like a play on “New England Nationalist,” a term frequently bandied about by members of both the local Patriot Front chapter and NSC alike.] Reihner went by the alias “Matthias Thorpe” as a member of Boston Free Speech and Resist Marxism. His Patriot Front moniker was likely “James MA,” and his serial number was PF-8190. [1] [‡]

Reihner is licensed as a math teacher under Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education license #542123. [1]

July 2nd, 2022 – Patriot Front Independence Day weekend march

Preamble

On July 2nd 2022, roughly 100 members of Patriot Front held a flash rally and marched along the Freedom Trail in Boston MA. During the march, several members assaulted local performer Charles Murrell III. This assault led to legal firm Foley Hoag filing a federal civil rights lawsuit, naming Thomas Rousseau and 99 “John Does” as defendants, in the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts. [1]

Vaughn Douglas Schlegel of North Brookfield MA, current candidate for his local Select Board, has been at various turns a member of Patriot Front, the Bay State Active Club, and the Pine Tree Party! A USPS employee, he’s a National Association of Letter Carriers union steward.

He also works for North Brookfield City Hall, in both the Planning Board and Finance Committee, and appears in meeting minutes for both starting in August 2023.
