Preamble
Ryan Michael Roy (born April 9th, 1989) is an American neo-Nazi. Roy first came to prominence due to his visible presence at 2017’s Unite the Right in Charlottesville VA. He’s known to be a long-time member of Patriot Front Network 7, and seems to act as a recruiter and point person for Network 7 in Vermont.
Roy may have been a member of the Traditionalist Worker Party before its collapse, and joined contingents of TWP members during at least two out-of-state events. [μ]
Roy’s last-known locale of residence is Enosburg Falls VT. He previously lived in Essex VT. [♣] [1]
Roy previously went by “RexLexus” over Discord, and “whitetaliban” on Instagram. His Patriot Front handle is “Rex VT,” and his serial number is PF-8672.
This dossier is not intensely concerned with what Roy believes. This dossier’s remit revolves around collecting information about Roy and cataloging his major activities in regards to his white supremacist activism.
Changes since last revision will be highlighted as such. Notes and citations will be provided throughout the document in the form of links to external websites, represented by bracketed numbers. Wherein a set of brackets contains a symbol other than a number, this is meant to represent either a physical document with no online copy (such as a police report or court case), or a database that cannot/will not be cited in a specific manner (such as the ADL’s HEAT Map, or social media accounts operated by known fascists). Find these corresponding citations in the “External citations” section.

Early Life
Roy claims to have been raised by a “liberal mother” and a “conservative father.” As a teenager, Roy attended Essex High School in Vermont and claims to have been a part of his local punk scene. He graduated with the Class of 2007. [1] [2] [3]
Timeline of activities
While Patriot Front Network 7 has held a large number of events in Vermont that more likely involved Roy than not, attempts will be made to only include events where proof exists Roy may have been present, whether by his own admission or through plausible identifications of him through Patriot Front’s own propaganda materials.
Note that this is also not a comprehensive timeline of Roy’s activity, given the wide variety and patchwork nature of Patriot Front material to sift through.
2017
On August 12th, James Alex Fields Jr. rammed his car into a crowd of protesters during the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville VA. His attack left one dead and 35 injured. Fields had been marching with Vanguard America during the morning, before the city declared a state of emergency and canceled the planned rally at noon. This specific event led to Thomas Rousseau, at the time a high-ranking organizer with Vanguard America, splitting off to form Patriot Front, which Roy would later join. While not involved in the attack, Roy was photographed in the company of Augustus Invictus the morning of the attack, and recorded attending the torch march through Charlottesville the night previous. Roy also brought his family down to Charlottesville for the event, and claims they were there to meet Invictus and Chris Cantwell. [1] [2] [3]
On August 13th, Roy indicated that he and other UTR attendees were involved in a fight in a Waffle House somewhere around Charlottesville. [1]
Some time during his trip home from Unite the Right, Roy confronted two black women, one an employee, at a PNC Bank in Morristown NJ, and told them “they need to get the f███ out of our country.” He would later solicit information about the employee from a Discord server he was in, in the hopes he could use said information to get her fired. [1]
On August 15th, Roy was fired from his job at Uno’s Pizzeria in South Burlington VT, for his participation in Unite the Right. He was interviewed by some number of local publications, including the Burlington Free Press and Seven Days Vermont, in light of a social media campaign to notify staff at the Uno’s location about his UTR participation. Said campaign was led by a local bassist who recognized Roy. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Also on the 15th, Sam Wormer, a friend of Roy’s since high school, submitted a report to police that he was assaulted and stabbed with a knife, outside his home, by multiple assailants, for defending Roy in the wake of his outing as a neo-Nazi. Wormer’s own photos show clean, shallow, purposeful cuts to his abdomen. In social media posts, Wormer claimed the knife attack was “social justice, apparently,” implying local militant leftists assaulted him. According to Roy, who believed his friend was telling the truth, Wormer claimed the attack was a “false flag” by local right-wingers meant to discredit local leftists. [1] [2]
On August 21st, Roy solicited a Discord channel for employment opportunities. [1]
On August 22nd, Roy claimed Augustus Invictus had offered to write him an affidavit to the effect against claims made that Roy had brought his children to the Unite the Right rallies, likely meaning the marches, themselves. [1]
By September 7th, Roy acquired another job. He claimed that he had been listening to an audiobook of “Mein Kampf” at work in a conversation with Kevin Cottle, aka “HueTheHand,” who at the time was a member of the Traditionalist Worker Party. [1]
On October 28th, Roy posted in the Traditionalist Worker Party Discord server that he was in Shelbyville TN, like many other members of the server. TWP figurehead Matt Heimbach led a contingent of TWP members during the “White Lives Matter” event in Shelbyville this day, which also included contingents from the League of the South and the Nationalist Social Movement. [1] [2] [3]
On or before December 10th, Roy took part in an anti-immigration standout in Burlington VT. [1]
2018
On February 10th, members of Patriot Front flyered and held a flash rally in Burlington VT. Roy and Anthony Chandler of Network 10 were present. [1]
On March 12th, Roy registered an account on the new Patriot Front Rocketchat server. This is not indicative of Roy’s join date, given his participation in events in February of this year and the nascency of the Rocketchat server. [1]
2019
On July 6th, about 17-20 members of Patriot Front held a flash rally in Bunker Hill’s Monument Square, in Charlestown MA. They unfurled a banner and lit flares, later fleeing in vehicles tied to Lowell MA and NY state. Hood claimed over internal chats that the rally included members from Texas, New York, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Vermont. Patriot Front Network 9 member Victor Staab, aka “Victor MD,” indicated that Roy was present, and took a falling drone to the face. [‡] [1]
On or before July 16th, members of Patriot Front conducted a promat flyering in Leominster MA. In internal PF chats, Roy and fellow Network 7 member Mark Hayden, aka “Bill MA,” both indicated that nearly 100 posters were put up by 8 members split in two teams. [1]

On December 4th, Roy and an “intermediate” member of Patriot Front committed a promat activity at the University of Vermont Medical Center, in Burlington VT. The intermediate was likely “Mason VT,” a re-admitted member of Patriot Front and long-time friend of Roy’s. [1] [2]
On December 9th, Patriot Front NW7 member Matt Smaller, aka “Jim MA,” committed a promat campaign on the Framingham State University campus. A series of tips from the public and federal law enforcement led FSU police to ID Smaller. FSU PD named Patriot Front NW7 scribe Alex Beilman, aka “Tyler CT,” and NW7 quartermaster Brian Harwood, aka “Henry MA,” as conspirators based on Unicorn Riot’s leaked RocketChat logs. The three have since been charged and arraigned in Framingham District Court; the trial is ongoing. In the FSU PD incident report for Smaller’s vandalism, Roy and Patriot Front as a whole are named as involved parties. According to the report, FSU PD requested identification assistance from the Vermont Intelligence Center in identifying the member known as “Rex VT,” and the VIC responded by supplying FSU PD with Roy’s identity. The report states that “Roy is known to Vermont law enforcement.” [♣] [1] [2]
Also on December 9th, Roy committed promat activities in Essex Junction & Milton VT. [1]
On December 10th, Roy took part in a Mumble call between several chapters of Patriot Front, meant to discuss the results of the recent Washington DC march. [1]
On December 11th, Roy and “Mason VT” dropped a banner over the Shadow Cross Bridge in Colchester VT. [1] [2]
On December 14th, Roy committed a promat activity in Richford VT. He also refused to commit to a Patriot Front event in Massachusetts for the 19th, citing his baby son’s birthday. [1] [2]
On December 15th, Roy committed a promat activity in Essex VT. [1]
2022
On January 21st, Patriot Front marched through Washington DC along with the annual anti-abortion “March For Life” rally. Photos and video taken of the event suggest Roy was an active participant engaged in screening members of the March For Life and counter-protesters alike from approaching other members of Patriot Front. Roy does not appear much in Patriot Front’s own footage of the event; this is possibly due to his proximity to Capitol Police as they screened civilians for Patriot Front at the front of their march. This is to say: Roy and the rest of the screen team were largely useless besides looking intimidating, as the local cops were doing their work for them. [∗] [1]
Possibly Roy in Washington DC based on his build, eyewear, footwear, facial shape, and height relative to the other members, January 2022. |
On January 28th, antifascist researcher “New York City Antifa” released an alert concerning the wedding of Kyle Morelli and Alyssa Garrity. Leaked Rocketchat logs indicated that Roy, along with several other members of both local and distant networks, was interested in attending. [1]
Also on January 28th, the Patriot Front Telegram channel reported members stenciled promat graffiti in Burlington VT. Photos suggest Roy was an active participant. [∗]

On May 21st, the Patriot Front Telegram channel reported members conducted a promat banner-drop from an overpass in South Burlington VT, and stenciled promat graffiti in Rutland VT and West Rutland VT. Photos suggest Roy was an active participant. [∗]

2023
On March 9th, several members of Patriot Front Network 7 met somewhere in Maine to hike and camp in the mountains. The next day they split into three teams, and conducted a variety of promat activities in Falmouth ME, Portland ME, Scarborough ME, and Windham ME. Photos suggest that Roy was an active participant in both a banner-drop from an overpass and stenciling promat graffiti in Falmouth ME. [∗]

On May 13th, members of Patriot Front marched through Washington DC. Video, taken at the event by local documentarians, suggest Roy was present and once again acting as a screener between counter-protesters and other members of Patriot Front. [∗] [1] [2]
Possibly Roy in Washington DC, based on his build, height relative to other members, facial shape, position as a screener, and choice of eyewear, May 2023. [1] It should be noted that this model of Pit Viper sunglasses are not the ones he usually wears, but are consistent with an older model worn by another member of Patriot Front during a promat graffiti stenciling in South Burlington VT in April 2022. It’s within the realm of possibility that Roy loaned out that pair to the other member for the photo shoot that day. Note also the Betsy Ross flag patch, similar though not identical to one (and admittedly not an uncommon item, seen on roughly a dozen other members) worn by Roy on his sleeve in Boston MA the previous month. |

Quotes
Quotes from any member of Patriot Front in the context of chat channels are to be taken with a grain of salt, given the reticence of members to fully speak their politics in the face of Rousseau’s tendency to quash more extremist speech.

Personal life
Roy is married, and the father to a handful of children. [1] [2]
Roy seems to be a practicing Catholic, and has invoked “God’s providence” in relation to the founding of the United States. [1] [2]
Roy also claims that he was previously a LaRouchite (having described LaRouche’s beliefs as a “very niche authoritarianism”), and more recently is aligned with the Libertarian Party. He’s also a supporter of Donald Trump as U.S. president. [1] [2]
Roy claims to be a part of his local punk scene. He also claims to be the vocalist for a local electronic band called “Hate Speech,” with a member of another white nationalist band called “Lone Wolf Insurgent.” [1] [2] [3] [4]
