Active Clubs

Preamble

Active Clubs are decentralized cells of white power & neo-Nazi fight clubs, geared toward physical preparation for an imagined race war between white supremacists and their perceived enemies. The concept of “Active Clubs” was launched by Rise Above Movement (“RAM”) founder Robert Rundo after fleeing the United States to escape various felony charges.

According to Jeff Tischauser, on both Active Clubs and the Rise Above Movement:

“Active clubs train, hold fight club events and promote a type of white nationalist brotherhood that focuses on physical fitness and an aggressive white Christian masculinity that borrows heavily from European far-right groups”

“RAM rose to prominence for fighting perceived political enemies in the streets. After Rundo fled to Eastern Europe in 2019 to escape federal charges of conspiracy to riot, RAM folded. In 2021, while still in Europe, Rundo launched Active Club and used Telegram and his media company, Media2Rise, to encourage men in the United States and Europe to start their own chapters of the organization.” [1]

Active Clubs, by and large across the United States, appear to be collaborative efforts between regional hate groups. For example, the Evergreen Active Club of Washington is a project of the Northwest Nationalist Network, itself a coalition between Washington-local members of neo-fascist hate group Patriot Front, the neo-Nazi hate group Hammerskin Nation, the white supremacist Vinland Rebels, the neo-pagan Asatru Folk Assembly, and the Idaho chapter of decentralized white ethnostate movement group White Lives Matter. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] Likewise, the Southern Sons Active Club of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina appears to be a project of local members of Patriot Front of varying levels of standing and the local chapters of White Lives Matter. The collaborative nature of Active Clubs does not appear to be the norm in New England; almost every regional Active Club is highly likely to be affiliated with either the New-England-regional chapter of Patriot Front (known as “Network 7,” “NW7” for short), or the neo-Nazi street crew Nationalist Social Club of New England (“NSC-131” for short), but not both. [Speculative: The division is certainly due to bad blood between NSC-131 and NW7, stemming from founder of NSC-131 and the disgraced former NW7 Director Chris Hood assaulting also former NW7 Director David Spellman-Oldenquist in 2019. [1] This bad blood has continued to manifest in myriad hilarious ways, including but not limited to: resultant failures by both Hood and Patriot Front founder Tommy Rousseau to co-exist without hating each other, and; the likelihood NSC-131 NH regional lead Leo Cullinan tried to jump Patriot Front member Alex Beilman, among other NW7 members, sometime during 2022.]

This dossier’s remit revolves around collecting information about the membership of New-England-regional Active Clubs, and redirecting antifascists and researchers looking to learn about them to more complete sources of information. Changes since last revision will be highlighted as such. Notes and citations will be provided throughout the document in the form of links to external websites, represented by bracketed numbers. Wherein a set of brackets contains a symbol other than a number, this is meant to represent either a physical document with no online copy (such as a police report or court case), or a database that cannot/will not be cited in a specific manner (such as the ADL’s HEAT Map, or social media accounts operated by known fascists). Groups & Membership

Bay State Active Club

This is a Massachusetts-local Active Club established during or previous to July 2021, became inactive sometime during or after October 2021, then revived during March 2023. [∗] It is certainly affiliated with Patriot Front given the amount of Patriot Front propaganda its various Telegram channels have recirculated, and is highly likely to be controlled by known NW7 members. It has recently used its Telegram channels to announce recruitment in all of New England. [Speculative: I think this is a sign that NSC-131 is food for the vultures following the filing of several civil suits against NSC-131, the death of Leo Cullinan, arrest of Stephen Farrea, and Chris Hood’s stepping down to raise his children. I think Hood and Hayden are friends, and that Hayden wouldn’t make a move like this without Hood’s permission/blessing.]

Rocky Point Active Club

This is a Rhode-Island-local Active Club established in August 2023. [∗] It is certainly affiliated with the Nationalist Social Club of New England given the frequency with which it recirculates NSC’s propaganda material on their Telegram channel, and that a handful of its members are known members of NSC. [Speculative: RPAC, alongside the other two Active Clubs controlled by NSC, seems to have been more visibly busy after NSC’s standout at MA Governor Healey’s home in October 2023, and continued to hold events while NSC remained inactive for several months following the initiation of a pair of federal civil lawsuits levied against NSC during December 2023. It’s crossed my mind that, though these clubs may not have been founded with a non-standard goal in mind, they allow NSC members to run around doing NSC stuff without necessarily representing the NSC brand. There is precedence for that, given NSC spun off their “PINE Initiative” project not long after getting sued by NH AG Formella in January 2023.]

This is a Connecticut-local Active Club established in February 2024. It is unlikely to be affiliated with the Nationalist Social Club of New England, given the speed at which the Cut Throat Active Club challenged them to a fist-fight over Telegram to “determine who runs Connecticut.” [∗] [Speculative: yeah I think this club is just the Patriot Front NW7 guys in Connecticut, the only visible member in their propaganda photos has some resemblance in build to the unidentified guy who’s been running around doing Patriot Front crap with Beilman, [1] I will not be taking further questions on this matter, just go check out the NW7 page]

This was a Maine-local Active Club. It was briefly active up until official Active Club channels realized ACAC was a “solo” Active Club. Its presence on Telegram was dismantled soon after.
